Franella Smith

Franella Smith earned her Master of Fine Arts from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015, where her master’s thesis won first place in the NewLook Writing Contest. She completed her undergraduate studies in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Haven and her graduate internship at Hampton University. A registered and licensed dietitian for over 20 years, Franella currently works full time in South Carolina. Her professional background and creative training uniquely inform her writing, allowing her to bring depth, insight, and authenticity to the stories she tells.
